Lino Tagliapietra’s “Fenice” series is one his most sculptural in form. The bases of the “Fenices” have a rather Alladin’s Lamp look and the long, often curly tails further add to the somewhat whimsical feeling of these eye-catching glass sculptures. Certainly this series is one of the most playful of all of maestro Tagliapietra’s creations. When grouped together the dramatic impact is even more pronounced.
