Greetings. I hope that this note finds you well and enjoying springtime and what is hopefully the beginning of the end of the pandemic. It’s been a long year and we are enjoying being out and about again. I have chosen a few pieces to share with you that should brighten your day. As always, please do be in touch with any comments or questions. |

Today I had a hard time deciding which of two Lino Tagliapietra pieces to feature. In the end I decided to share both. |
Spigoitondi This Lino piece is rather unique in many ways. Most obviously, it is rectangular instead of the maestro’s typical curvilinear forms. I love the palette Lino chose in creating this piece and also the great depth of the piece. |

Borneo This is one of the smallest Lino pieces I have had for a long time, standing at only 12 inches tall. To me this piece is a little gem. Perfectly executed, like all of Lino’s works, but in this smaller scale the technical brilliance is all the more evident. |
This beautiful piece by Nancy Callan is so joyful and upbeat. It reminds me of the sun on a warm spring day. |

This beautiful glass sculpture by Paul Schwieder has a luminosity almost as if it were lit from within. At first glance we might assume this to be a cast piece but it is actually blown and then sandblasted. I love the color of this piece. |
Yellow Print This is a new piece by Seattle based glass artist Dante Marioni. As in all of Dante’s blown glass sculptures this piece is technically perfect. I love the intricate cane work which in this piece is done in almost a patchwork style. |
