Pick of the Month
"Vulamina" by Dan Dailey

Stanley Wooley:
"Dan Dailey's "Vulamina" incorporates several metals with glass to create a whimsical figurative female form. He has elevated functional glass lighting to an illuminated glass wall sculpture with a high degree of technical expertise. The warm golden glow of the glass is juxtaposed with the hard edge of the metal. The element of the multi-layered shadows on the wall add extra interest."

Jim Schantz:
"We are proud and honored to have added Dan Dailey to our gallery. Vulamina is a new Sconce which has a wonderful character. The warm colored glass forms perfectly complement the brushed steel surface. This beautifully constructed feminine character is a classic example of the Sconce series. Dan indicated it is also possible that a male complement can be created if the client wants a pair."

SOFA Santa Fe Report

This June SOFA added its new Santa Fe venue, a successful and well received show for us.

Holsten Galleries exhibited works by Dale Chihuly, William Morris, and Lino Tagliapietra, and sold major pieces of each artist. It was great to meet new as well as familiar collectors in Kenn Holsten's home town.

We are looking forward to SOFA Santa Fe in July, 2010, and will keep you informed of the exact dates and exhibiting artists!

Summer in the Berkshires

Summer is a wonderful time in the Berkshires! We are enjoying the beautiful landscape, as well as all the great entertainment venues the Berkshires has to offer: Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Tanglewood, the Berkshire Theater Festival, Shakespeare and Company, and much more. We look forward to greeting many of you in the gallery this summer.

June Collectors' Weekend

We held our annual Collectors Weekend June 26-28, with 40 guests attending demos by Paul Stankard and Nancy Callan, and a slide lecture by Jon Kuhn. Each of these artists has given us wonderful work for the summer. Please visit their pages on our website to view these new works. www.holstengalleries.com.
