Alex Gabriel Bernstein Biography

Alex Gabriel Bernstein is the Department head of glass at the Worcester Center for Crafts in Worcester, MA. He has also taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass, and the Penland School of Crafts. Alex holds an M.F.A. in glass sculpture from the School for American Crafts at RIT. He has mounted several solo shows in the past several years at Chappell Gallery NY, the Sandra Ainsley Gallery in Toronto, the Thomas Riley Gallery in Cleveland, and Prism Contemporary in Chicago, IL. Bernstein is also represented at SOFA NYC, Chicago, and Palm Beach by Chappell Gallery. His work is held in many collections, including those of the Corning Museum of Glass, Glasmuseum Frauenau in Germany, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Buffalo, The Rochester Institute of Technology, the Mellon Financial Corporation, the Wachovia Corporation, and the Bascom-Louise Fine Art Gallery.
Alex is currently participating in a show at the Suffolk Art Center called "All in the Family" with his parents.
